Class offers basic skate skills needed to stay safe while rolling. We introduce falling, stopping, turning and confidence for those who need it and provide step up moves into turning, pivots, backwards skating, fancy foot moves, and more! Progressive in skills combined with music and basic roller dance (for adults) and games (for kids) inspired movement as a class constant.

Skaters roll to a strength & cardio roller dance inspired fitness routine in a no pressure setting. Class is flexible for most levels of skaters.
NOTE: It is suggested that you take our Skill Building class first before joining this session if you do not feel comfortable getting up and down from the floor.

No rolling required for this class!
Inspired by Roller S.T.E.A.M., this class teaches about the mechanics and function of roller shoes. Learn how to properly care for them or troubleshoot potential mechanical issues. We will also learn about the history of roller skating and some of its cultural significances in the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. #safeskatebuddy

Take it off the smooth surfaces and learn to skate varied. With the beginner in mind, this class provides everything you need to feel confident while skating outdoors from getting out of the parking lot to traversing curbs and dealing with rocks. Empasis is placed on safety.
*NOTE: We strongly recommend that you take our Skill Building class first before joining the outdoor class if you do not feel comfortable falling or slowing down.

Are you ready to elevate your skating and cover more ground? Typically held on weekends in the spring and summer, this class will introduce you to realm of hills, light traffic interactions, and trail hazards. Class progresses in speed, incline and decline from 101.
*NOTE: We strongly recommend that you take our Outdoor Skate 101 class first before joining this session if you do not feel comfortable skating from a curb to the street.

Kick it up a notch to a new local trail. Added miles, more curbs, steeper inclines & declines, more traffic interactions, introduction to basic jumping. Class progresses in distance, speed, inclines, decline from 101.
*NOTE: We strongly recommend that you take our Trail Skate 101 class first before joining this session if you do not feel comfortable on slight declines.

Need more? Typically held on weekends in the spring and summer, this class introduces the skater to realm of pace and distance skating for milage. Class progresses in miles and will include hills, traffic and other hazards.
NOTE: We strongly recommend that you take our Trail Skate 201 first if you do not feel comfortable at longer distances or higher speeds.
